The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates Denounces Terrorist Attacks in Afghanistan

The World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates denounces the terrorist attacks carried out by armed men affiliated to Taliban in Helmand Province, South of Afghanistan. The attacks resulted in the death and injury of at least 5 of the security forces.
The Organization mentioned in its statement that Allah Almighty forbad bloodshed and threatened the one who commits this heinous crime with severe punishment. Allah Almighty says “Because of that, We decreed for the Children of Israel that whoever slays a soul for other than a soul, or for corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had slain mankind altogether; and whoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.” [Q. 5: 32]. He also says “And that you slay not the life which Allah hath made sacred, save in the course of justice”. [Q.6:151]It also added that attacking innocent souls is one of the gravest sins as Allah Almighty prohibited killing them. In this regard, Allah Almighty says “If a man kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein (Forever): And the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him, and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him.” [Q. 4:93]. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also said in this regard “Avoid the seven destructive things.” It was asked: (by those present): “What are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “Associating anyone or anything with Allah in worship, killing of someone without a just cause whom Allah has forbidden…” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
At the end of its statement, it extended its sincere condolences to families of the victims and asked Allah to protect the whole world of the horrors from extremism and terrorism.
