Attack on Two Villages in the Democratic Republic of the Congo It asserts: Terrorizing peaceful people is one of the great sins
The World Organization for al-Azhar Graduates condemned the terrorist attack carried out by elements of the Allied Democratic Forces that is linked to ISIS, killing at least 20 civilians.
The statement pointed out that killing people is one of the grievous sins; as Allah said in the Holy Quran: “Whoso slayeth a believer of set purpose, his reward is hell forever. Allah is wroth against him and He hath cursed him and prepared for him an awful doom.”[Q. 4: 93]. Also, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “Avoid the seven destructive things.” It was asked: “What are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “Associating anyone or anything with Allah in worship; practicing sorcery, killing of someone without a just cause whom Allah has forbidden, devouring the property of an orphan, eating of usury, fleeing from the battlefield and slandering chaste women who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)
The statement added that shedding the blood of innocent people is one of the grievous sins that necessitates hatred of Allah; and Islam protects the lives of all people, as Allah said in the Holy Quran: “And slay not the soul God has forbidden, except by right.” [Q. 6: 151].
Finally, the statement extended condolences to the families of the victims and wounded, praying to spare the world scourge of terrorism.
